From your idea to a sample you can review.
Bring a tech pack, reference images or an early idea. We help develop the fit, fabric, construction and brand details your collection needs.
We review what is already decided, clarify the details that need development, and agree the sample scope, price and schedule before work begins.

New or changed garment
Develop the product.
Changes to the silhouette, fit, fabric or construction belong in a development brief. Branding can be included in the same project.

Add your branding.
Start with a YEEGEM style and specify your logo, labels, hangtags or packaging. A full tech pack is not needed for this route.

A real knitwear development case
From a client brief to a bulk-ready sample.
A 100% cotton sweater developed around the client’s fit, color, aged-wash finish and tonal knitted wordmark.

01 · Understand the brief
Start with the details the client wants to keep.
The client supplied a tech pack, a specification workbook and two garment references: one for the tonal knitted graphic, and one for the body shape.
- Reproduce the requested sweater fit.
- Match the brown color and aged-wash appearance.
- Translate the complete logo into a tonal knitted pattern.
- Keep a substantial feel without losing softness.
The workbook contained the client’s initial yarn suggestions. The final sample used 100% cotton.

02 · Resolve the material and wash
Find the balance in the yarn.
The main challenge was choosing yarn that could support a substantial sweater, a soft hand and the client’s warmth requirements, while also tolerating the aged-wash process. The final choice was 100% cotton.
Three knit-down adjustment rounds
Wash development took much of the sampling time. Two knit-downs were damaged during the wash trials, so the team continued adjusting before making the finished garment sample.
The knit-down stage allowed the texture, logo treatment and washed appearance to be reviewed before assembling the complete sweater.

03 · Review the finished sample
Bring the fit, surface and graphic together.
After three knit-down adjustment rounds, one finished garment sample round completed the development in approximately 15 days.

Sample shipped. Customer satisfied.
The client was very satisfied with the sample and confirmed it could proceed directly to bulk production. This case records the sampling outcome; bulk production and delivery are a later stage.
Client identity is withheld. Photos have been anonymized with AI: identifying lettering was replaced by illustrative “NEW YORK” text, or removed from labels. The client-supplied reference garments are references; the brown developed sample and factory knit-downs belong to this development case. The approximately 15-day timeline describes this project.
